    Hi
I read recently that one should only stain a fence/gate, which is what I’m about to do, using an acrylic stain on a fence that i used to use Thomson’s on years ago, but haven’t in three or four years. I’m wondering how best to prepare the fence/gate, as the one side faces the late afternoon sun for two or three hours once the tree is in foliage.

Secondly, this reddish stain doesn’t match well with my golden coloured Defy Extreme ST on the deck. When the time comes to restain my Golden Oak stain, I think it’s called, can I restain the deck with a more reddish tinted variety of Defy Extreme ST?
