Step 1: Clean or Strip

Determine whether to use Wood Cleaner or Stain Stripper. If the deck is simply dirty, graying, or it has a weathered, existing stain on it, use Wood Cleaner. If the surface has a previous stain that is still holding up in areas, use the Stain Stripper.
Step 2: Brighten

Once the wood has been cleaned or stripped, use Wood Brightener to neutralize the surface, open the pores of the wood, and make it ready for staining. Wood Brighten is an essential step that will ensure your project last as long as possible.
Step 3: Stain

Once steps 1 and 2 are complete, your wood deck, fence or siding is ready to stain. DEFY is an advanced, water-based, semi-transparent stain formulation designed to penetrate deep into wood pores for maximum protection and longevity. DEFY protects wood from harmful UV rays and damage caused by water penetration. It is ideal for all types of weathered, exterior, softwood surfaces including decks, fences, siding, outdoor furniture, gazebos and play sets.
